Meet the winners of our More than a Market Awards 2017!

Our second More than a Market Awards Gala was held on 15 June 2017. Out of 75 projects in the field of social responsibility, seven were chosen as the winners.

Additional category in 2017: School Projects

The awards were presented in five categories: small, medium, and large enterprises, collaborative projects between German companies and – due to the great engagement of German companies with Chinese schools – the jury decided to introduce an additional category: school projects.

Submissions almost doubled, stemming from all over China

The initiative has attracted many more submission in 2017 than during the first round of our Awards competition in 2016. This underlines the growing support of this initiative by the German business community throughout China. Also, while the initiative was only open to German companies from the Shanghai region in 2016, now submissions stemmed from all over China.

Acknowledging the overwhelming number of German companies engaged in supporting schools and pupils, an additional fifth category “School Partnerships” was introduced. The companies Bosch Automotive Products (Suzhou), Freudenberg and Wacker Chemicals (China) were jointly awarded the prize for building schools, providing funds and supplies to students and training to teachers in mainly earthquake ridden areas.
